Lost in a Folder #1

Band - Streets of Norwich 2015

I feel like taking photos nowadays as lost its meaning. We take a photo , we look a it, we sometimes publish it on Instagram and then... It gets lost, on our computer or phone, until one day the device dies and we loose that image forever.

So, i've decided to start doing these posts, were i go through my folders and choose a image that i didn't knew that existed anymore and post it here. My idea is to create a new folder with these pictures, that i will get printed in the future, you know, like in the old times. This is the first one. A band playing in the streets of Norwich last year.

Penso que tirar uma foto hoje em dia deixou de ter significado! Tiramos a foto, olhamos para ela naquele momento, se calhar até a postamos no Instagram e depois... E depois fica perdida, algures no nosso telemóvel ou computador até que inevitavelmente estes deixam de funcionar e aí sim a imagem fica perdida para todo sempre. 

Decidi então começar uma nova serie aqui no blog. Decidi começar a abrir as diversas pastas que tenho aqui no telemóvel e no computador, procurar imagens que já não me lembrava ter tirado e posta-las aqui. A minha ideia é ir guardando as imagens, para que num futuro proximo, quando tiver imagens suficientes, as possa imprimir, como nos velhos tempos (aahah)! Esta é a primeira que encontrei. Uma banda a tocar nas ruas de Norwich no ano passado.

I've lived in the UK for a year and some months now. And i've wanted to do this tour for eeeeever, but for one reason or another i never managed to book it... Until last month!!

Já vivo na Inglaterra há um ano e alguns meses. Sempre quis fazer esta tour. Ainda eu vivia em Portugal e já sonhava com o dia mas por uma razão ou outra nunca consegui marcar uma data, até ao mês passado!!

Around the world - Dublin #2

Like i said in the previous post, the first day was quit slow. We pretty much walked around temple bar, saw trinity college from the outside, had some dinner and went to bed.

Como disse no Post anterior, o nosso primeiro dia não foi propriamente produtivo. Limitamo-nos a andar pelo Temple Bar (mesmo a porta de "casa"), vimos o Trinity College por fora, jantamos e... cama!

No, i'm not in Paris (i wish). But, i was, almost a year ago! And today, scrolling down through my albums on my phone, i found this  and decided to share them with you (there is more than 3 but we will start with this!)

Não, não estou em Paris (quem me dera). Mas, já estive, há quase um ano atrás. E hoje andava eu a ver fotos antigas no telemóvel quando encontrei estas 3 que decidi partilhar convosco (há mais do que 3 que ficarão para mais tarde) .

Amanhã por esta hora estarei a preparar-me mentalmente para mais um turno noturno.  Estarei também a preparar-me para voltar a rotina, para deixar de ouvir "por favor" e "obrigada" e passar a ouvir (as vezes que isto da educação tem que se lhe diga) "please" e "thank you". 

Sou Enfermeira. Ainda o curso não ia a meio e já sabia que muito provavelmente teria de deixar o meu país. A ideia, na altura, não me incomodava. Sentia-me até entusiasmada! Um novo país para explorar, toda outra cultura. A verdade é que se hoje em dia me fosse dada a hipótese não iria a lado nenhum. Provavelmente não teria estudado Enfermagem (mas isso é uma outra historia para outra altura). 

Cada vez que as férias acabam e volto para a Inglaterra sinto um vazio. A falta que  minha mãe me faz, os meus amigos e as saídas a noite para tomar café, os cheiros, as pessoas, a comida, o CAFÉ! Sinto que a vida não é justa e que ninguém deveria ser obrigado a levar esta vida.

Sinto Saudade.

Around the World - The technical stuff (Dublin#1)

A few months ago my roommate and i decided to plan a little trip away from work and from Ipswich (the place were we live). Our goal wasn't exactly Dublin but the flights to everywhere else were already to expensive and we weren't ready to spend that much money. So, after a couple of hours searching Ryanair's site we decided that the Irish capital would be it. After all, the outbound flight was only 9,90 Pounds so how could we say no? The day arrived, and on Thursday, January 28th we left for Dublin.

Há alguns meses atrás eu e a minha colega de casa decidimos planear uma pequena viagem para fugir a rotina do trabalho e a cidade de Ipswich (cidade onde vivemos). O nosso objectivo não era exactamente Dublin mas após uma breve consulta ao site da Ryanair descobrimos que todos os voos para outros destinos se encontravam caros de mais para aquilo que pretendíamos gastar. Assim sendo decidimo-nos pela Capital Irlandesa visto que o voo de ida se encontrava apenas a 9.90 libras. Assim sendo dia 28 de Janeiro partimos para a aventura.
